31 days of Halloween day 31

The AC crew will be using Rick's awesome Halloween digi and / or rubber collection. You can find the digis at his Etsy or Zibbet shop. Rubber only at I Brake For Stamps.

Blog roll is in the side bar. Enjoy the hop, if you dare.

For our grand finale, we have two fabulous contributors!

Hi, it's Harp Silver here with a project which is an homage to Sir Terry Pratchett who maintains that witches could be men and not just women...check out his last book. For this project, Warlock was imported via Picmonkey onto a background from Mischief Circus and the white surrounding it was removed. The font was built into Picmonkey and added to the top and bottom. Once printed, Warlock was coloured with Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils. Glitter varnish was sprayed around the moon to give it a luminous spooky effect. TH thinlit words were added before the background was mounted on heavy cardstock.

For my next project, Goth Nurse was imported into Hotel Spooky Hell Corridor, and once again the white surrounding the image was removed. Once printed, Goth Nurse was coloured with Copic Sketch pens. The wording, Wicked, was die cut with TH Thinlets Spooky set, and heavy cardstock was used for mounting the project.

And our second awesome contributor to this post...

Good morning. Fiona R. here today with a Halloween tag using Countess Von Finnbair. I coloured her up with my Prismacolor pencils and blended. I then scanned her into Photoshop, created my background, printed out and added to a mountboard base for stability. Water drop stamps were added and coloured red with Copics. White gel pen was used to highlight them, The title was stamped using a Tim Holtz stamp and white gel pen was added to make it pop. The edges were inked and ribbon added to finish.

Thanks so much for joining us today and for helping to make this hop organized by the wonderful Smeared Ink crew such a success.  Happy Halloween!

Hi it's Tina-Maree here and so happy to be doing another blog posting for the 31 days of Halloween hop.  I chose 'that-a-way witch' for my make.

I coloured the beautiful gal with pro-markers, hopefully they enhanced her natural beauty :).  I also used two of Tim Holtz's dies for the bird and cage and the graveyard border.  Mini bottles were added along with silver skull and bones charms. I also used the Graphic 45 'rare oddities' papers, a halloween must have for those who love the dark side.

I hope you like the card and find it as a canvas suitable to show Rick's fabulous digi image.

Happy Day 25! It is Rhoda here bringing you another sample of what you can find in the fabulous shops of Rick St. Dennis. This time I would like to introduce one of Rick's Morning Goddesses. This is the lovely Morning Goddess Hattie – TheHalloween Goddess. Don't you love how her little witch hat perches on top of those rollers? It looks like her companions are ready to go, too.

I hope you are enjoying our chilling journey through the 31 days of Halloween. Come back tomorrow to see the next installment!

Hi Danielle here
Using 50's Vampy Witch because she's such a sassy little witch, and I knew she would be so much fun to color and add to a project. I also wanted to use some of the images I received or bought while I was a EDT member. So I made a accordion style album with a Halloween theme, to showcase my Rick St. Dennis digital stamps. The front and back covers are chipboard covered in designer paper, the album pages are made of black cardstock and designer paper. The other images used in this album are as followed from left to right : FrankenbarbyAnnabella ArsenicMr Modo with the lovely Esmeralda the Fortune Teller and finally Alice Revisited.

All images were colored with watercolor pencils (dry) and a blending pencil.

31 days of Halloween day 23 with Lady B

It's that time again for Airless Chaimbers Crew to join in the creepiest bloghop of the year, the 31 days of Halloween. Organized by Smeared Ink. The AC crew will be using Rick's awesome Halloween digis and / or rubber collections. You can find the digis at his Etsy or Zibbet shop. Rubber is only available at I Brake For Stamps.

Lady Brayton here to join in the Halloween fun.  Today I bring you two projects using the same digital stamp so you can see how different a scene or card can look with the same focal image.  I've used Rick's digital stamp "Hell Hath No Fury".  Click on the images to enlarge, if you dare.  Also, keep the kiddos away from the screen, especially for the second image.  You've been WARNED!  I will give you a few minutes to get the kids away from the screen.

Hell Hath no Fury was coloured with copic markers and scanned to my PC.  I removed her from her white background and enhanced her colour as my scanner washes the colour off my images if I forget to turn the brightness down.  Next, I added my image to the scene above which uses digital paper from "Crystal Rain's" "Hotel Hell" paper pack as well as elements (skulls, spider webs, bones, coffin) from her "Edgar Allan Poe" digital scrap kit.  Enjoy!

Now the really bad one is coming and I don't want you or your children to be traumatized for life so feel free to skip the second pic if you wish.  It was just for fun, but I think I actually like the composition and imagery better in the first pic anyway.

Here is "Hell Hath no Fury" again.  Same as above, but with different colouring.  This time I added her to this creepy bathroom scene which is a digital page from "Crystal Rain's" "Abandoned Places" paper pack.  The gruesome skeleton and bodies were created by "FineCraftedDesigns" and "Holliewood Studios" "Ode to a Muse 2" collaboration kit.  All digital elements from both projects can be purchased from "Mischief Circus".  Their darker kits work so beautifully with Rick St. Dennis MFA's Halloween and creepy digital stamps!

If you find you are still in the Halloween mood after the 31 days, Rick sells colouring books now and one is The Day of the Dead.  I highly recommend it, especially for pencil lovers!  HERE is where you can find information on buying ALL of Rick's colouring books, in several different countries.

Rick is currently culling some of his images from both his Zibbet AND Etsy Shops and offering them at a major discount.   But act fast!  When you see it and you want it, BUY IT!  Once they're gone, they're GONE for GOOD. This is an ongoing process and takes awhile, so visit often, you never know what you'll find.

Thanks for looking!

It's Donna Mundinger here with today's installment of 31 Days.  I've made a wall hanging with two of Rick's fabulous Halloween images, Busted Down Witch and Annabella Arsenic.  I took BD's advice and found a 12x12" sheet of scrapbooking DP that would normally go unused, but was perfect for my little Halloween scene.  It only needed some trimming, inking and matting in black and it was good to go.  The few embellies I added included a framed epoxy sentiment sticker, some epoxy bats, and some jewels to make the birds eyes and jack-o-lantern glow.

Here's a closeup of the Witch and Annabella.  They were both colored with Copics with some additional shading from Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut and popped with foam for dimension.

They are also BOTH older images so it bears mentioning that Rick is currently culling some of these images from both his Zibbet AND Etsy Shops and offering them at a major discount.   But act fast.  When you see it and you want it, BUY IT!  Once they're gone, they're GONE for GOOD. This is an ongoing process and takes awhile, so visit often, you never know what you'll find.

Oh dear, Annabella looks a bit spooked as the witch grabs her arm to test for tenderness.

The computer generated sentiment was cut and matted with two of the Spellbinders Grand Creative Book Pages.  It reads "I like children, I really do, baked, or broiled, or in a stew".  Bwahahaha!

Now off you go to Susan's Blog.  Happy Hopping!

It's Bonnie here today for the 21st Day of Halloween. I have a mixed media piece featuring two of Rick's wonderful images, Dancing with the Starz  and Flying High. They make quite a team and both seemed to fit the sentiment. They were coloured with Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils and then fussy cut leaving a narrow white border. They were each matted with black cardstock before being trimmed out again and popped up on foam tape.

The 6 x 8 rectangle of mixed media paper which forms the substrate was spritzed with water and then sprinkled with Orange, Lemon, and Scarlet Brusho crystals. The background was tilted various ways so that the colours would run and blend before they were allowed to dry. Stars were die cut from black cardstock and scattered across the background. Inky dots were added with a Joggles background stamp and Jet Black Archival. The edges of the background were lined with Black Big Brush pen before it was mounted on black cardstock to frame it.

The sentiment was computer generated and printed onto white cardstock. The letters were filled in with red marker and the words were matted with black and popped up on foam tape. An enamel heart was adhered beside the last two words for emphasis and balance.

Thanks for joining us today. Happy hopping!

Bonnie

Hi everyone
It's my turn again to bring a project for today.
I used the image Bad Science. It fit the image and notion in my head of a spell-caster in "plain clothes". Having pondered over his spell book, off to the dungeon lab to concoct the potion to serve whatever purpose he saw fit. Then, oops, that momentary lack of concentration that befalls so many. Not the paint brush in the tea instead of the water pot like most I know but something a little more dire ...... that spell has destined him to life as a vegetable. Serves him right for wishing ill on someone.

then to add a little extra

the Book of Spells I was talking about....

Thanks for stopping by
Enjoy the hop

Hi Mo here with a Halloween shrine,

and the skull stamp from the Morte set, now only available s digi here

The base is a tree slice, added paintable texture  crackle and painted it Orange Flame when dry. Made a wash of the Carbon black and rubbed it into the crackles and over the organge to make it look a bit aged.

All dies are Tim Holz, the pentagram is made using sticks put togehter using wire and painded Carbon Black.

The crackle backgound got skulls stamped on (rubber stamp designed by Rick St. dennis, no longer available in rubber only as digi stamp).

Next I added Triple Thick Gloss Glaze over the crackle layer to protect the paint and stamps. The Dies got painted and the Happy Halloween Sign got the Andy Skinner crackle stamp on it. Happy Halloween was stamped and has gold embossing powder on it.

next the dies got  a layerTriple thick gloss on them.

The plastic skellie was heated using my heatgun and bended into a sitting position  and got seated on the pentagram

A shrine needs a candle ofcourse, so I glued a plastic skellie hand to the wood (painted it black first) and put a battery operated candle on it ( real candle and plasic skellie is melt down I guess lol)

Mo here and for today's make I have a floatng vampire skull,

The skull is a Rick St.dennis digi you can find it here. Coloured using pencils. Cut out and framed between two glass plates.

The frame is made of wood, usedAmericana gesso to base coat it, and painted it Dazzling Metallics Venetian Gold. next was a layer of Weathered wood, and the top paint layer isAmericana lamp black. When the crackles appeared and the black paint was dry I used Matte Varnish to protect the crackle layer. Next the fun started, creating paint drips, used Red Alert Americana for the dripings, mixed it with a bit of water to get it running. When the dripping was dry I added some Glamour dust in Sizzling red, because vampires like a little sparkle too.

Easy project with a great result I think :-)
