So excited, my first posting on here as part of the EDT.  Choosing an image was hard.... as a fan of the macabre the choice seemed endless :).

I had to pick 'Strega', who can be found here. The digi was coloured in pro-markers with pencil added for some definition.  Rock salt, sand and acrylic paint were mixed to give some texture on the gravestones and ground.

Hope this encourages you to check out your dark side.. mwhahahahaha or my blog .

Too late? ...

... Hi!  It's Deborah here with you this morning.  I was playing with one of Rick's scary Creepmas snowmen yesterday and made a fun, creepy and sparkly Creepmas Tag:

Too Late - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Full details of the tag can be found on my blog here.  The image is called Early Thaw - it's brilliant!  I started off colouring the image with subtle blues, lilacs and greys, but when I saw what Mo had done with the image on the blog, I decided to go with really bold colours.  In real life the blues aren't quite so bright - they are much darker - I'll try to get a better photo later today.

If you like this creepy snowman you can find him at Rick's Zibbet shop along with lots more Creepmas images.  You can also find Creepmas at Rick's Esty shop too.  That's all for now!

Waiting for my 50th Birthday

Today I am showcasing 2 Rick St Dennis MFA digi stamps on the one project. This card is a commissioned piece. The request was a skeleton with the words 'Waiting for my 50th Birthday.
The stamps that I used are Grave 1 and Madama de la Noche.
To make this card I started off with a square silver base card then matted in purple. I then added clock paper from Kaiser Crafts Black and white collection. I matted in purple again and used a paper from Papermania. I typed the sentiment on to the computer onto red card and added a bat sticker.
I printed both digis and coloured them copic markers and fussy cut them out and popped them up with double sided tape.
The copic markers that I used are:

Facebook Design Team

We are looking for a small team of enthusiastic people to work with and promote RSD images in our FB Group. You don't need a blog to apply (but if you do, that would be great). What we need are people who will produce both coloured images and finished projects across the range from creepy to cute. You must be active on FB and willing to meet and greet new fans, provide supportive comments, and share and promote on your own timelines and in other crafting groups. The post is all about spreading the word and increasing our visibility on Facebook.

Terms and Conditions

The terms will last for 6 months, you are welcome to reapply at this time if you wish to stay on the team.
You will be provided with 2 to 4 images to work with for your DT projects, and of course may use any that you already have in your collection. You must be able to produce 2-3 projects a month minimum.

To apply, we would love you to make TWO projects (doesn't have to be a card - journal pages, altered items, 3-d work are also great) - one cute, one darker themed featuring RSD images. Upload them to the DT Call photo album on our Facebook Group here :

Please comment on your entries to leave a link to your blog if you have one. Closing date is April 15 th 2015

We look forward to seeing your applications, please feel free to ask any questions.

Cilla the Slug Mixed media

Hi there everyone, Rachel here! I have only just finished work on this piece and it isn't even totally dry...but I got a bit excited that there was a free spot on the blog so I had to show you NOW!
this is Cilla the slug, from Sue's story, who I dreamed up and Rick used his wonderful skills to turn into better than reality. I am using a lot of products that are new to me so this was a total experiment, loosely based on Monique and Bonnie's mixed media works...

I hope you like her- and for the full product list, feel free to take a look at my Blog!

Caustic Rattflynger

Hello!  It's Crafting Vicky with you today and I'm doing something different for my usual cards....  I tried my hand at making a T-shirt for my eldest son....

Well it was my very 1st try and it didn't  come out the best... I thought this great image would be perfect for a teenagers t-shirt Caustic Rattflynger.  I should have used a darker transfer sheet to do this so the colors would have shown more clearly.... anyway here it is I'm still happy since it was my very 1st try and at least I did try something else.

So here's my colored version

And how pale it ended up looking....

He's wearing it as a pj top so that's still good :)  And guess you have to do stuff like this to learn...

Do you do experiment as well that turn so so?!?

I hope you have liked my little inspiration for you.

Have a fab day.

I'm Late, I'm Late ....

... well, he could be late as it's April now and Halloween was last October!  However, I think he's actually a bit early this year.  Hi, it's Deborah with you and I've a Halloween card to share with you:

I'm Late - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Full details of this card can be found on my blog here.  Mr Voodoo Skull Man is a fabulous character - he's obviously keen to be somewhere in a hurry.  Rick has a fabulous selection of Halloween images at his online shops - Zibbet and Esty.  I think this guy is one of the more "cute/fun" images - he's certainly not as dark as some.  I had lots of fun colouring him in.

That's all for now - see you again soon!
