Good Morning. Fiona R here today with some Inspiration for you with another of Rick's Fabulous images. Today I've made a Tag using " Smilin Joe Skull with Roses " available in Rick's Zibbet and Etsy Stores. I started off by embossing some cardstock with an old script and attached to the tag base. I then gave this two coats of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Dark Grey. Once dry I highlighted the embossed script with some patina gilding wax. I then die cut two gothic scrollwork embellishments using my Brother Scan n Cut and attached to the top and bottom of the tag. Smilin joe was coloured with copics and fussy cut, then mounted onto black cardstock. The image was then attached to the tag using 3d foam pads to make him pop.
.... well that's what my little guy thinks, and I kind of agree with him!! Hi! It's Deborah here with you this morning, and I've a fun and very quirky card to share with you:
Don't you think this guy - I am too an Angel - is just fab? He's just one of a great selection of Creepmas images available on Rick's Zibbet and Esty shops. I actually printed him out in December to use on a project for the 12 Days of Creepmas challenge, but sadly he just sat on my desk looking a bit lonely. I got some new Dylusions stamps yesterday and this sentiment was in the set - the rest was easy! I love that the sentiment goes so well with the image. If you want to you can find more details of the card on my blog, here.
My daughter, Kathryn, loves the projects I make using Rick's slightly darker, more off the wall images - she takes after her mum!! That's all for now.
Welcome to our first 2015 Rick St. Dennis MFA (RSD)
Showcase. This will be a first “showcase” for Airless Chambers. Some, and sometimes all, of Rick’s Elite
Design Team (EDT will be showcasing projects completed with some of Rick’s
amazing digital images. Rick will be giving us a monthly theme and we will be
picking our own images from his vast collection of images in his Etsy and Zibbet shops.
Rick’s choice of a theme for us was Valentine BUT we could
not use traditional Valentine colors. We were not allowed to use reds, pinks, or
purples. Stay a while and check out what his designers have come up with.
There’s a few events you might want to catch so you can
play. Taking place right now is our “Progressive Challenge.” Click
here for more information.
Every week on Rick’s blog there is a “Pick of the Week” contest. Rick’s Elite Design Team
picks out fantastic projects created by other designers using Rick’s images.
After those are chosen, you, the fans, get the final vote. This is a lot of fun
and there are wonderful prizes too. If you have used an RSD image in a project,
come show us in our Facebook
group and your’s may be picked.
Our first 2015 RSD Facebook group Art
Contest has already started. Check out the events section in the group. These
contests run for two weeks. Random.org chooses the winner and the prize is one
digital image from Rick’s Zibbet store.
One more thing…If
you have not yet visited Sparkle and Glitter
to see the more sane side of Valentine’s, you might want to take a visit.
Today I'm sharing a card using Rick St Dennis MFA's digi Lil Devil. When I saw this digi all I could think of was that song HOT STUFF by Donna Summer! Hence the wording on the chalk board speech bubble! Ive coloured Lil Devil in with copic markers and then die cut it with a circle spellbinders and popped the whole circle up with foam tape. I started with a red card blank then matted it with paper that I've had for ages from Scrapbooking memories. Ive then cut a strip of red card then purple card and placed a fiery sticker on by Scrapbooking memories. Ive added a chalkboard speech bubble and written in my sentiment. To finish off I have added some red gems.
The copic markers that I used for this project are: V12,V15,V17,E000,E00,E02,R02,R32,R35,R37,Y00
I'm hosting today and I have for you a card I created using Bewitching from the RSD Zibbett Store.
I coloured her up using my copics, fussy cut and set to one side. I decided to use the same colour theme for my card base as the main image to achieve a tone on tone effect with a bit of embossing thrown in for added texture. Once the card base was created I added 3d foam pads to the main image to make her pop off the card. I then created a banner in photoshop printed out and attached to the card using 3d foam pads.
I wanted to do a slightly more grown up, darker valentine's make, and as soon as I saw the image the line 'I'm batty about you' popped into my head... so I just had to use her!
other than the image, I have kept the card monochrome, so the image really pops. I coloured the image using my copics, and also added some sky and grass.
I'm not sure what possessed me to give her flaming red hair, but I think it kinda suits her, don't you think?
I cheated and didn't hand cut the pennant for once, and it does look a whole lot neater... I had my brother scan n cut out and remembered I'd seen a pennant in the on-line software.. with a bit of tweaking, I had one exactly the right size for my needs, and then resized it again for the paper layer.
the sentiment was computer generated, and I just love the font!
finally I added some sparkly black gems to the top of the pennant and bottom corner of the card...
hope you like her!
If you fancy a nose at my other work please wander along to my BLOG.. thank you!
Good Morning Fiona R here today with some inspiration for you all using Rick St Dennis's image Skull with Roses available in his Etsy Store. I coloured him up with copics then fussy cut and layered the image up on black card to make him pop. I then scored and folded my card base from some 300gsm sturdy black cardstock. Fired up photoshop and used a background ( re-coloured) from Abigail Larson, printed then cut to size and adhered to the card base. I then diecut frames using Couture Enchanted Escapes from 300gsm black cardstock and attached to the card base. I then popped the image onto the base frame using 3d foam pads to make him stand up off the card. Two labels were then created in photoshop and printed out, fussy cut and mounted onto black card, then attached to the card using 3d foam pads.
Hello! It's Crafting Vicky with you today and I'm sharing a different type of make today.
I went shopping just before the holidays at Winners (our version of TJ MAX in Canada) and I found for 1$ a great Halloween sign! Right away I thought it would make for an awesome Creepmas decoration. But I knew that I was posting this after Christmas... so I made it more about how the holidays were survived.
I thought this was the perfect image for this little wall art I'm using Creepmas Eve. Doesn't he look like he barely survived the holidays?!? I think I might look a bit like him right now lol
I put some glitter washi tape over the Halloween and put a little Christmas sticker.
I colored him up with my copics. I fussy cut him out afterwards.
I hope you have liked my little inspiration for you and I hope that you look better after the holidays then this little fellow!
